Register, or check that you already are
The registration deadline for the November election is October 5, 2026.[2] Registering takes minutes online at registertovoteflorida.gov, and the same site lets you check an existing registration.[3] If you have moved, changed your name, or have not voted in a while, checking now saves a headache later.
Voting by mail
Request your ballot from your county Supervisor of Elections by 5 pm local time on October 22, 2026.[4] Under current Florida law, vote-by-mail requests do not carry over forever: a request covers an election cycle, so confirm yours is on file for 2026 even if you have voted by mail before.[5] Return it early; a ballot must be received by your Supervisor by 7 pm on Election Day.[6]

Florida elects its next governor on this ballot: David Jolly is the Democratic nominee and Byron Donalds is the Republican nominee. Depending on where you live, the ballot also includes congressional, legislative, and local races.
