It was wonderful to spend time with Cocoa City Council members and residents, hearing their concerns and discussing how we can better serve their community. I also joined the Brevard Federation of Teachers for a meaningful conversation about the needs of our educators and students, and how we can work together to restore and strengthen traditional public education. Thank you to Jennifer Jenkins for hosting and bringing us together, and to everyone who shared their experiences and ideas. Building a stronger Florida starts with listening to the people who call it home! 💙

“Reach out and touch somebody’s hand, make this world a better place if you can.” 🎶💙 Those words came to life as we sang together in Titusville today. Thank you to the Concerned Citizens for hosting me and bringing us together for meaningful conversation, fellowship, and a reminder of what matters most: caring for one another. This is what Florida is all about—our people, our communities, and the love we show our neighbors. Together, we can build a better future for everyone.

One thing was clear at yesterday’s candidate forum at the University of Central Florida: young voters are paying attention, asking tough questions, and thinking seriously about their futures. From the rising cost of housing and everyday essentials to job opportunities and economic security, these are real challenges facing young Floridians. And they deserve real, thoughtful answers. I was proud to join Congressman Maxwell Frost, Jennifer Jenkins, Annette Taddeo, Rep. Anna Eskamani, and Dr. Jane Aman for a meaningful conversation with students and community members who weren’t afraid to ask the hard questions. The issues facing Florida don’t discriminate by age, and neither should our commitment to solving them. Whether you’re 18 or 80, your voice matters, your vote matters, and your future matters. Thank you, UCF, for reminding us just how important it is to listen to the next generation of Florida leaders!

This morning, it was an honor to join the FEA and Leon Classroom Teachers Association for the LCTA Public Education Listening Forum. Some of the most important conversations about public education begin by simply listening. This morning was about hearing directly from educators and school employees about the realities they face every day, the systems that shape their work, and the experiences of the students and families they serve. Thank you to LCTA for creating a space where educators’ lived experiences can help inform meaningful public policy and real solutions for Florida’s public schools. Our educators deserve to be heard, supported, and included in the conversations that shape the future of public education.

A great teacher is the most important part of any classroom. Yesterday, on my second education focused workday of the week, I was a teacher’s aide to one of the best. It was a jam packed day. Tonight in Venice, Floridians with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and advocates made one thing clear: this race is about more than policy, it’s about real lives, real challenges, and a state government that must do so much more. Accessibility and independence are not side issues. They shape whether someone can receive quality healthcare, pursue an education, vote, find meaningful work, move through their community and live with dignity. These are also matters of basic civil rights in today’s America. I invite the disability community to once again have a real seat at the table in the Governor’s office and to be a true partner as we recover from decades of neglect in Tallahassee. A Florida that works for everyone must include everyone. That’s what this race is about. Join us, and let’s Believe in Better.

Gwen and I are honored to earn the formal endorsement of the hardworking men and women from the Florida State Council of Machinists. Gwen had the privilege of speaking at their conference in Orlando about the vital role their members have in our state’s economy. We’re always going to stand beside Florida’s workers, not corporations or special interests.

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend Labor Day than with the hardworking men and women of the Big Bend Labor Chapter. It was a wonderful morning filled with good conversation, great people, and a shared belief in the promise of Florida. Today, we celebrate the people who build our communities, care for our neighbors, teach our children, keep us safe, and help our state thrive. Thank you for such a warm welcome, and Happy Labor Day, Florida! 🇺🇸

Great to be in Miami with Gwen for a conversation hosted by Miami’s Community Newspapers. We talked about the challenges Floridians are facing every day, from the cost of housing and healthcare to the future of our public schools, and how we can bring people together to actually solve them. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared in the conversation.

What an incredible night in Tampa. Laura and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A packed room, incredible energy, Floridians coming together around a shared belief that we can build something better for our state - and making it even more special, my mom was there to share the moment with us. Tomorrow is Primary Election Day. Let’s finish strong and keep this momentum going.

A strong night with the Democratic Club in Poinciana talking about what’s at stake this November: lowering the cost of housing and insurance, protecting public schools, expanding access to healthcare, and making Florida work for working families again. We know what we’re fighting for, and we know what it will take to win this race in November.

A great evening with the Clay County Dems just outside Naval Air Station Jacksonville. More than 100,000 veterans call Clay and Duval counties home. In addition to our gratitude, they need our commitment to fight for lower prices, great schools, and a home without a massive data center moving in next door.

Great to meet with everyone at the Parent Teacher Association. Florida’s public schools are in crisis, and we have to be honest about how we got here. Gwen and I believe in investing in public education and making school choice real choice, with accountability, transparency, and standards for every school receiving public dollars. Byron Donalds supports a privatized education agenda that sends more taxpayer money into private hands while leaving too many students, parents, teachers, and public schools behind. Florida is the third-largest state in the country and the fourth-largest economy. We should not be abandoning public education. As governor, I will lead a 10-year renaissance in Florida public schools because every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
